The Role of Private Sector on Post Earthquake Recovery in Nepal


The team of DCHT had participated a regional summit in Lalitpur,Kathmandu of Nepal on November 17th 2016 which was basically held on the immediate measures taken for the post earthquake victims of Nepal. Chief Coordinator of DCHT, Prof. Monirul Alam & Mr. Ranjit Haldar joined as representative of DCHT and A-PAD. Mr.Bishnumoni Nepal of Samaj Sewa Samuha(SSS) of Mohadevsthan also shared their experiences as collaborative work with DCHT and A-PAD during post Earthquake response. It was organized by Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) & UN ESCAP (Economic & Social Commission for Asia & the Pacific) supported by Chowdhury Foundation. During the time of conference & dialogue which were divided into three sessions. The team gave convincing partnership package among the Govt & Private sector by pointing out that:
*Try to use own resources for disaster Management Minimum 500,000 people from rural area of Nepal for rehabilitation, 1,000,000 houses to be reconstructed. *Beside Government’s huge effective steps, we are continuously keeping our best effort to reconstruct socio-economic innovative re-constructional community.
*Community resilient & involvement In addition, DCHT is constantly giving efforts to deliver basic health facilities to the door steps of the suffering millions as done by DCHT Medical Team.
