With the continuity of Bangladesh flood response activities, DCH Trust provided Health support to 1500 flood affected people of Cumilla district of Bangladesh. A health team of 16 persons including 10 doctors supported the day-long health support to all age groups flood affected people. The people also got essential emergency medicine with adequate referral facilities to Dhaka Community Hospital.
DCH Trust Provides Critical Support to Flood-Affected Communities in Bangladesh Amid Ongoing Floods Since August 20, 2024
Bangladesh has been experiencing widespread flooding since August 20, 2024, affecting over 7 million villages in the northeast, east, and southeast as a result of persistently high rainfall through a week that have flooded houses, destroyed resources, and resulted in 31 fatalities so far.
Dhaka Community Hospital Trust (DCH Trust) has been actively supporting the flood-affected communities since the beginning by giving the vulnerable community emergency food, non-food support, and health support.
Japan Hands Over Medical Radiology Equipment to Dhaka Community Medical College Hospital under Grass-Roots Human Security Grant
On May 15, 2024, H.E. Mr. HOSAKA Yasushi, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, and H.E. Mr. IWAMA Kiminori, Ambassador of Japan to Bangladesh, visited Dhaka Community Medical College and Hospital to attend the handover ceremony of the “The Project for Procurement of Medical Radiology Equipment at Dhaka Community Medical College Hospital in Dhaka District” provided to “Dhaka Community Hospital Trust (DCHT)” by the Government of Japan through the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGHSP).
